All-School Picnic
All-School Picnic at Yards Park (355 Water Street, SE)
Saturday, August 29 at 4 pm followed by Nats game at 7:05pm. Email [email protected] with any questions!
The Picnic:
Please bring a blanket, picnic dinner and lawn games (soccer balls, hula hoops, frisbees) and, if you want to play in the fountain/wading pool, a bathing suit and towel. We'll congregate on the terraced lawn just north of the riverfront boardwalk and east of the wading pool. Wear orange or your Inspired Teaching tee shirt so we can find each other more easily.
If you don't have the time or energy to pack food, there are several carry-out options nearby. (Here's an interactive map of all nearby restaurants.)
The Baseball Game:
The Nats are playing the Marlins at 7:05. We will be organizing a group purchase for anyone who wants to go over to the game after the picnic. (We recognize it may be too late for small ones' bedtimes!) We will do our best to get tickets together, or at least all in the same section, and we are planning to get tickets in the $10-12 range. Stay tuned for more information on how to reserve and pay for your tickets.
